3 Things to Ask When You’re Struggling
Life has a way of throwing curveballs at us.
I’ve faced a lawsuit, medical crises, major debt, a divorce, and debilitating burnout.
But here’s what I’ve learned. Every obstacle carries within it the seed of an opportunity. An opportunity to see things differently, to do things differently. Because when life isn’t what you want, you have a choice on what comes next. How you want it to be. Who you want to be.
I know this because I’ve lived this.
That divorce, it led me to find the love of my life. That lawsuit, it turned into a book deal. Being broke taught me to heal my relationship with money and watching my son go through two open heart surgeries as a baby opened my own heart in ways I never thought possible.
Here’s the thing. I’m not special.
I’m just determined to not let suffering be the end of the story. Instead, it’s the beginning, the beginning of a transformation of crap into gold And you can too.
It starts with asking yourself three powerful questions:
1️⃣ What does the universe want me to learn?
2️⃣ How can I make this work for me?
3️⃣ How I can use this to connect with or serve others?
You might not have an answer right away, and that’s okay. Just keep asking. The next step is to really feel your emotions. Don’t strive for strong. Go for soft. Softening allows you to be more open to receiving life’s lessons.
Be prepared though. Progress isn’t linear. Just know that the things that destabilize you actually creates the perfect conditions for transformation. That moment when your world gets tilted, that’s when you see things from a new perspective. And you don’t have to have it all figured out to take action. In fact, the mess is where the magic happens. It’s where YOU happen.
Because you’re leaving behind who you were in the other world, the before times before shit hit the fan. You’re now stepping into – no you are creating – who you will be in this new world. If you’re scared. Good. You should be. The unknown always is. But in that fear, I want you to add in a little bit of excitement. Because life is so much richer on this side. Aliveness. Awesomeness.
I can’t wait to see you here.
