Speaker Spotlight: Arielle Patrick
As SVP and Transaction Director at Edelman, Arielle Patrick is one of the youngest senior executives in the industry. She leads the firm’s M&A and bankruptcy offering, advising CEOs and boards of directors of public and private companies, providing counsel on communications strategies for all stakeholder audiences. She is also a speaker at our upcoming conference, Get Money Get Paid, happening in Brooklyn on November 2nd. We sat down with Arielle where shared the importance of tracking her wins and what attendees can look forward to hearing from her at the conference.
What is the best money advice you’ve ever received?
My advice: Track your “wins,” preferably in a spreadsheet. Update it weekly and share it with your manager. Use it as a topic of discussion when you meet with your boss regularly, through the year. Review season should not be the first time you’re expressing what you want and need… or the first time that you’re hearing feedback (good or bad).
What’s a moment in your career that you’re really proud of?
Being hired at 28 for a role typically held by people up to two decades my senior in this industry.
Who is a woman you admire (living or dead)?
My mother. She has always made life decisions with a primary focus on financial longevity, security, stability and growth… above all else.
What is one thing you hope the conference attendees will take away from your story?
Long-term, deep relationships matter most early in your career. The money will come.
